He overreacted, sure. But at least he didnt pull out a gun and shot him. Thats where Im at when it comes to the police in the US. As long as they dont kill someone, its ok.

Fair enough. The thing about excessive force is that, I don't think its increased that much from in the past. Rather, thanks to social media, the public scrutiny has been turned to 12 b/c of social media. A side effect of this awarness is more distrust, which ultimately leads to even more altercations like this.

On a personal note, I got in trouble with a cop once, I got a slap on the wrist and my I got in huge trouble with my Mom.
