But what would that blue ocean would that be? Like, it can't be casuals because casuals aren't a blue ocean anymore. I think they are doing the opposite, and trying to redefine the red ocean with a completely different, forward thinking redefinition of what a video game platform is. That's the real gimmick. Not the hardware, but the ecosystem.

Yeah I think you kinda nailed it there. 

Rather than a control revolution, NX is about changing the nature of the traditional game ecosystem. 

The whole "casual controller" thing won't work again, because casuals are today the complete opposite of a blue ocean market, there are more games being made for casuals (iOS/Google market) than for any other gaming audience today and there is a practical saturation of the hardware that provides those experiences -- almost everyone has access to a smart device, even kids. 

NX is more about changing the concepts of a what a traditional game platform can be IMO.
