- Zelda absent from e3 despite being shown last year, no Retro game shown for Wii U - Pikmin 4 "almost done" but not shown: Why? - Nintendo talking about NX in 2015 and announcing more infos in 2016 (same timeframe as DS, Wii, 3DS) - Square Enix pretty much confirming Dragon Quest for NX, then rewording their statement (probably because of an embargo) - Moore's Law points to a 2016 NX home console that is *exactly* as powerful as PS4 / XOne - 2016 would be strategically better: Read Soundwaves posts on this - Wii U will be pretty much dead by late 2016. Nintendo is in this for the money and they'll have a horrible 2016 without a new console - No initiatives from Nintendo to give the Wii U new life: Clear sign they are sitting this out and cutting their losses - AMD hinted months ago at a big contract with a console manufacturer. They wouldn't do that 2.5 years in advance! - Lots of 3DS games in development but only a handful of Wii U titles I want to see actual evidence pointing *against* a 2016 launch. Something other than "We hardcore gamers would be upset! Nintendo is pulling a SEGA". I don't see any evidence in favor of a 2017 launch: No big software support, no console redesign, no price cut. Nintendo isn't pushing the console at all. They have no time to wait till late 2017. And there's one more crucial factor: If NX releases in 2017, then the 4DS will release in late 2018! That's way too late as the 3DS will be dead by then. Nintendo would kill their hardware market with that move. (And yes, NX is a home console. Reggie said "our next home console, NX".) |
Well, I said that you were being silly, because you're assuming that everyone who believes that NX will be released in 2017 doesn't want it to launch earlier. That's not the case. I'd love to be wrong, but I still think it'll launch in 2017. Everything you said it's just especulation and rumours. We'll know soon enough. If nintendo will launch its next home console next year, then we should hear more concrete leaks in the beginning of the year.
