I'm guessing the answer is no.

I'd guess MS has lost about $100 AT LEAST for every unit sold at this point. There is a point when you start to profit with whatever you produce, and MS is so far away from that sales number that they probably just try to keep losses at hand.

Even if they're losing a $100 per unit (could be less), you would assume they get some of that back in software sales, subscriptions, accessories, etc.

Xbox One is just there, pushing it on Japanese consumers isn't really a concern. Nintendo, Sony, and MS all know Japan is moving away from home consoles. They all rather invest more in the west.
