The fundamental way in which you controlled a game was the same, and while all had different capabilities, those differences were minute compared to what exist in the current gen.

PC has also been gaining steam as a viable platform, but that may be as much due to the fact that PS3 and 360 have moved gaming consoles that much closer to PCs in function. Wii is designed for exclusive games that take advantage of its controls so if anyone is looking to design a multiplatform, they have to start with the area that has more than one console with similar capabilities, in this case either 360/PS3 or 360/PS3/PC

What developers really need to do is just dig up some old PC games and dust off the bugs and clean up the graphics a bit. If you have a bunch of different actions that are all assigned to different keys, just develop a few menus so that a single button can give you access to multiple action commands. It's purely a matter of organization.

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.
