All sales number are estimates. The only hard sales numbers are given to each companies shareholders in their quarterly reports. Whether it be NPD, Media Crate, VG Chartz etc., they are just guides to go by until we get hard numbers from the quarterly reports. I would have a problem with Ioi's number if he didn't adjust them in if they were off.
Konnichiwa, I specifically remember the Wii's and PS3's numbers being reduced after the December NPD sales numbers came out as well.
