Think Titanic and Lord of the Rings.  Many oscars including best Picture between them.

I'll give you Lord of the Rings, but I never considered Titanic a "blockbuster" but my idea of a blockbuster movie is one that relies heavily on its action sequences so my views are a tad skewed
