Why do people think the next Zelda will be on NX?

Facts in OP:

Twilight Princess only Zelda to release on 2 consoles
Gamecube had Windwaker before that
Gamecube and Wii were similar hardware wise
All Zelda games have been delayed before
Nintendo said the game will be on Wii U.

Everything else is opinion. There's stuff there to suggest it will be on Wii U, but absolutely nothing to suggest that it won't be on NX as well.

 Porting a big game (like Zelda) from Wii U (PowerPC) to anything else (X86, ARM, etc.) is a though job.

This is a fact, especially for Nintendo as they need more studios.

Nintendos studios are pretty small.

 The Wii U installed HW base is small, BUT most wii u owners are loyal Nintendo fans.

Again, fact. With the Wii U, it has been proven that the attach rate of Nintendo games is much higher on the Wii U than any other system. (Take MK8 VS Mk Wii. 50%+ attatch rate VS only about 30% attach rate.
