I dont really think its right to outright say that the media is biased against something.
Within each site, you will find different writers that like different things. Different writers with different tastes. Different sites that have different traffic. Different sites that generate traffic based on controversial subjects.
After how the Xbox One was revealed and how they handled the launch period of the console, combined with how the PlayStation 4 was revealed and launched, a bunch of sites were always going to cater to what was popular and trash what wasnt.
We saw the same thing happen with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The enthusiast press always seemed pro-Xbox and anti-PS3 because at the time, the Xbox 360 was the dominant console in the West and its what most people were playing.
