Plus I while she may be gone I don't think she is dead... too much things happened at the end of episode 6 for her to have not been captureed by scientists.

I thought the same too. But then Tomori at the end saying she had been there all along kind of makes me question that, surely she would have noticed if scientists took her or something? I suppose not actually seeing her body leaves it open still though.

Noa had been following him around all the time to check up on him to make sure he was alright. With the amount of people and how the wreckage was chances are they were kept away from the place until everything was fixed. It wouldn't be too difficult to hide it from them all things considered. You have to also keep in mind that she knew what he went through since she was similar.
