Wii U will be consider much more like Sega Saturn and GameCube than like Virtual Boy. Virtual Boy did not exist in some markets and it was discontinued only after 6 months, so basically many people don't know that Virtual Boy exist at all or Virtual Boy games.
On other hand, Wii U have some of the best games this gen, some of the best Nintendo games of whole franchises, and great and big new IP like Splatoon.
