Mario Kart 8 is a fantastic game, and Wind Waker HD is really nice too, especially if you skipped GameCube and didn't play it the first time around.
Bayonetta is a game that looks like it would appeal mostly to 11-13 year olds just finding out about sex.
Splatoon and Pikmin look a little bleh, not sure what the hype is about them. I would love Pikmin if it weren't a level based game. Splatoon allowed you to play for a short time, and honestly, that's all I needed before I found it repetitive.
I skipped Super Mario 3D World as well, I already played the original version on 3DS. I am waiting for a real 3D Mario game like Super Mario Galaxy 3.
