Sony better damn well make another handheld. Smartphones and Tablets are the biggest piles of crap ever. The worst consumer devices I have ever used. Hopefully, the Steamboy sets the world on fire with the 4G model and forces Sony and Nintendo to bring out 4G handhelds. 

The 3G Vita is by far the best mobile device ever made. If Sony would have ever released a 4G version, Vita would be selling 10x as much. I don't get why Japanese companies were not the first to deliver this, and I can't believe here in 2015 we still don't have 4G handhelds fom Sony and Nintendo. 

Sony needs to merge Sony Mobile into PlayStation and drop the garbage android based xperia line asap. PlayStation Phones, and tablets need to take over Sony's mobile division, and make a product that doesn't absolutely suck. A PlayStation Phone with the Vita OS and PlayStation Network would be so much better than any android/ios terd it wouldn't even be funny. Hopefully someone at Sony has enough insight to realized that xperia is garbage, and they need to rebuild Sony's home and mobile electronics around the PlayStation brand, PlayStation OS, and PlayStation Network.

Some people are so out of touch with the market it's just baffling, this is an absolutely horrible idea.

The last thing Sony should consider is making another damn handheld.

Oh and your other posts in this thread are just...jesus christ...stop connection your own desire to what the market as a whole wants, you are obviously an outlier. Handhelds are not the future, handhelds will be entirely obsolete in the not too distant future.

If Sony does not attempt another handheld, and continues with Xperia, they have no future in mobile. Handhelds are mobile, handhelds are phones, handhelds are productivity devices. Where in the world does this idea come from that handhelds and consoles can never grow, but every other kind of device can change with the times. 

Why is it that Apple could make a Handheld form factor iPhone and that would be great, but if Sony or Nintendo made a Phone version of the Vita or 3DS it would be stupid, or that is not what the devices are ment for?

It blows me away that on a gaming website their would be so much backlash at the idea of gaming companies growing their devices, and tapping a broader market. Seriously, do gamers really want Apple and Google to be the only option for home and mobile? Is the future we want one where games are looked at as rubish, and only their for the filth. 

Everybody really needs to wake up from this Android and iOS coma, and see that we have not reach the pinicle of technology. 

Handhelds are not dieing, the decline is not in the number of people that want to have a quality gaming experience on the go. The decline is in the number of people willing to pay for a mobile device that can not communicate with people beyond the 4 walls of their house. The decline is in the number of people willing to carry two mobile devices. If people can get a quality gaming experince, and still do all of the little activities they do on Android and iOS, then most the 200M+ people that bought PSP and DS would choose that device. More so, you would find a whole new group of people that would have been PSP or DS buyers, but could not justify it due to the lack of mobile communication.
