EDIT: I looked at planned releases for Windows on XBox.com (for example Fable, Gears, Gigantic, Killer instinct) and they specifically target Windows10, meaning they will only sell on the Windows store for the XBox app.

Yeah, I have read that article and I believe Kevin Unangst is very misleading. He doesn´t actually state that XBox games will end up on Steam, but rather that they will aim to make sure that Steam runs great on Windows 10 and hope that more and more developers over time will joing the Windows store.
