Not really. Dissapointed I guess in how Nintendo mishandled the generation market wise, but in terms of games ... I think Splatoon and the upcoming Mario Maker are going to be two of Nintendo's bigger crowd pleasers in a long, long time, and Splatoon honestly is Nintendo's first break-out hit core IP for a console in like ... 20 years?

They'll be making Splatoon games for the next 30 years. Hopefully Star Fox Zero turns out OK too.

But at least Wii U was a full upgrade from the Wii. And Nintendo games are gorgeous in HD, it's like upgrading from coach to a 1st class seat ... everything is nicer and the whole experience is more pleasing.

I think people are a bit too hard on 3D World too. It's a very, very good Mario game, the second half is roughly on par with the Galaxy games and it's a better MARIO game than Sunshine was. DKC: Tropical Freeze is also a great game, very underrated better than DKC Returns or even Prime 3.

What I think Nintendo should do as a thank you to Wii U is have an offer where if you buy an NX in the first 8-12 months, you get a free full price game if you're a registered Wii U owner (and *only* for Wii U owners). Maybe a free VC game too.

Lets be honest too ... the Wii wasn't exactly all rainbows either. If you owned a GameCube, Nintendo basically charged you $250 for a moderately overclocked version of the same system with a controller that cost them maybe $10 to manufacture. So basically they sold you the same $99 system with a $10 new controller and took $250 from you ... and yet that's ok some how. And 2011 and 2012 were both mediocre for the system, truth be told, Nintendo *really* only supports their consoles for 4 years anyway.

The fifth year for the GCN was utterly mediocre too, so if Nintendo is just skipping that "last year" stage with the Wii U, maybe we should just consider ourselves lucky. The last year (Dec. 2005-Nov.2006) was crap for GameCube, crap for N64 (Dec.2000-Nov.2001) and complete crap for the Wii (Dec.2011-Nov.2012).

Why are you guys so hellbent on getting that extra year. It's not going to improve your overall experience of the system if its anything like the N64, GCN, and Wii's last year was (which it would be, or worse).
