I agree. the thing that is absurd is often we have poorer brackets of people being charged the same percentages as the ultra rich and elite. if those with billions of dollars were just taxed like 50% of all of their income than their wouldn't even need to be many taxes for the poor. would that be fair? in my eyes, because no one should be infinitely wealthy while others struggle

 

in the end though to encourage higher taxes is to encourage larger government which is unnecessary in a capitalist economy to a certain extent. the economy shouldn't be so strongly connected to the government and the government should not be essentially a business itself. EVERY single economic transaction shouldn't be money into the governments pockets

privatize education, privatize business, privatize it all. we're headed to a socialistic society where everything is monitered and freedoms are limited so that in exchange everyone can have more 'equality' and so everything is circular and that the people pay the government so the government can help the people. it's not a terrible concept idealy but it in the end hurts freedoms because all citizens are forced into the system and the reality is that the government is far from efficient in how it handles funds


If we privatized education, what would keep primary/secondary schools from falling into the same bullshit that Universities have fallen into? Even with a decent amount of government assistance for a lot of schools, tuitions in the Unites States are still ludicrous. The current schooling system would not survive as privatized because it would just be a money drain, and tuitions would be required. This seems like it would just punish the poor even more and be a huge blow to reestablishing the middle class and encouraging upward mobility.

The same problems lie with privitization in other areas, because many necessities aren't directly profitable in addition to problems with the greedy nature of businesses.

I somehow struggle to see privitization as a panacea...
