I've said this numerous times, but, next year marks Pokemon's 20th anniversary they're doing something for that.

I actually did not realize this. Makes me excited for what they are doing then. TBH, it kind of makes that one rumor seem likely. The HD remake of Red and Blue? That would be pretty cool.
