I like the last quote the best. He is right about children being instinct driven. When you hit puberty, you quickly learn the rules of life. No longer can you just enjoy something because you enjoy something. You have to enjoy what the majority tells you to enjoy. If you don't? It's isolation and hell to pay every single day of your life.
I believe that's why Nintendo is in the situation they're in right now. And I believe it's that reason as to why they have struggled (sans wii) to sell consoles since the N64. They didn't sell out to be "cool." Their games are great, and they're fun... but not cool like Halo, or COD or TLOU. The majority of teenagers and adults aren't going to be caught dead playing Kirby. In private? Sure... but not in public.
It's really pathetic.
