Why is there so much hope for NX?

I think nintendo should stay losing 4 more years, and launch new home consol in same time as next sony & microsoft and have around same power so they can get tird party again and work from this !

IF they launch NX in 1 years or 2, will be so late, ps4 Xboxone will have so massive lead... and nintendo would have to launch again a new console earlier... and fan wont go with them if they support their console only 3-4 years.

From last year sales of 3DS/Wii U hardware will be only worst, Nintendo in 4 years would be in very bad situation without new hardware. At end of next year 3DS will have around 6 years, Wii U around 4 years, if its a NX really hybrid of home and handheld console it would be perfect time to release it at end of next year, and device like that wouldnt compete directly with PS4/XboxOne, similar like Wii. After NX their next console can be around 2020/2021.
