You could make the counter arguement with inflation that their was much fewer blockbusters or films in general in those eras how about we adjust them and put them in todays market? Of course ticket sales are being tracked. Only becaue boxoffice doesnt do it doesnt mean the information doesnt exist. In germany, box office success is tracked as tickets sold.
