The worst case scenario would be:
At the moment of release.
-As powerful as the PS4, but based on an old achitecture. Hard as balls to port to.
-500€ pricepoint.
-Weird gimmick that alienates hardcores and casuals ignore
-The name of the console is the Wii X.
-Online multiplayer hidden behind a pawyall.
-Terrible marketing.
3rd parties run would run away from that thing as quickly as they possibly can. Nintendo has to fill the library of a PS4-like console all by themselves. They are stuck with a powerfull machine whose power noone really use. Nintendo has to make an emergency pricecut, but unlike the 3DS, the WiiX is not a handheld, and it doesn't work. They abandon the console after two years of struggles and losses. No more home consoles, just handheld, mobile and PC.
