The worst case scenario is if it doesn't get the full support of all teams from Nintendo. Its what killed the Wii U. If Wii U ended up with all 3DS/Wii U games, most would likely consider it among the greatest consoles of all time. Nintendo can't afford to segregate amongst their own devices. And if NX doesn't allow for easy porting between handheld and console, then it will most likely be bad for Nintendo.
