1. Batman isn't trying to kill Superman because Superman is trying to kill him. so Supermans motives would have little to no effect on Batmans actions.

2. Kryptonite isn't in MOS at all, so up to that point, he is unaware any part of krypton is on earth at all.

3. I don't thin I've ever seen a story-arch where Superman doesn't know who Batman is almost right away, he has x-ray vision. We don't know if he know's who he is in the new movie, but I will be very surprised if it takes Superman very long to figure it out.

Oh, and idk how big of a plot hole it is... I can think of several just from Guardians of the Galaxy that are worse.

1. Did you mean to say he's nto trying to kill him, because Superman's not trying to kill him?  Otherwise the sentence is a head scratcher :D

2.  No, Kryptonite isn't, however, Superman does lose his powers when subjected to Krypton's atmosphere (in Zod's ship).  Superman's not an idiot, plus he had at least some time absorbing knowledge from his father.   So, is it unreasonable to suggest that Superman wouldn't be wary of all things Krypton?

3. Exactly, end the fight before it begins, let everyone know who Batman is...he'll be too busy dealing with his enemies and the press to pursue Superman.

1. Sorry, let me fix that. What I meant to say was that Batmans motives for trying to kill Superman don't include Superman trying to kill Batman. Batman wants to kill Superman regardless.

2. As I said, he is totally unaware that kryptonite exsists and is on earth at the end of MOS and likely won't be made aware of it until it is used agianst him or until just before it's used against him.

3. Which would could lead to Batman, or the people he is trying to protect with his secret identity, being harmed or killed, which isn't Supermans goal. He also doesn't want Batman to expose him as Clark Kent, since assuming the new movie is anything like pretty much any other Batman-Superman encounter, it should take Batman all of five minutes to figure out who Superman is.
