Destiny had a huge impact on sales. Plus Watchdogs was new IP whereas Batman is an established one which sells well. 


Destiny had a huge amount of hype behind it though. It was from the creators of Halo 1 and 2. It was the first Bungie title to ever be released on a Sony console. It had a huge marketing push many months prior to release etc.

Watchdogs too was over-hyped well over a year prior to release. Being touted as the first real next-gen game on the PS4.

Then again, VGC could have just gotten the figures wrong. NPD will help clear some of this up.
