I'm part of your problem, I buy everything that's related to Zelda. It's like an addiction; I don't particularly like the existence of Triforce Heroes (god, the name, I just can't get over it, the lame uninspired genericness) and feel it's a useless addition with a bad idea that only wasted time of Zelda U development, but I'll still get it sometime. I just can't see myself having a shelf full of Zelda games and have one missing. I would kick myself.

Anyway, we buying stuff probably isn't the reason for the Metroid situation. Nintendo is just making weird decisions right now. I don't see why we couldn't have a real 2D Metroid instead, but maybe that's me.
