The first movie didn't do well, and the shows did far better. This is the thing that ticks me off more than anything in the movie/tv section of the world right now; these sequels should NOT be happening.
All sg movies and shows should connect to Sg-1, Atlantis, and Univsere imo.
The fact that Universe was cancelled, despite having good ratings still, just because syfy wanted to get more ghost hunter reality shows and whatnot still ticks me off considering that show was a million times better than Battlestar Galactica. |

I watched Galactica, it was a decent show until the last season (it went WAAAAY off the deep end and got depressing). Universe had that sense of exploration and despair but it didn't outright depress you and made me truly curious as to where the show was going. And don't even get me started on Caprica (the worst scifi show I've ever seen, I think).
