You mean kind of like how for sure/no way it doesn't that Mario 3D World/Smash/Mario Kart 8 (because Mario Kart is so much bigger now!) was supposed to make the Wii U sell "for sure" better than the GameCube at least?
Most of your suggestions are just making the same 20 million group of Nintendo fans willing to buy a console happy ... but that's the flaw in your logic, pretty much none of your suggestions would rather entice a larger userbase beyond that. Also Pokemon is popular in part because it is a portable franchise.
