I see what you mean now. The character count is at ~70, so they probably cut a corner here and there. Or maybe there is a plot twist and some characters are coming from another dimension.

Considering the recruitable kids, and that some of the retreads have no past, I can see that. Hope they do it in a manner that doesn't just make me face palm though.
