Sorry, but this is bothering me. It's been a long time since release and they promised both online tournaments (which look fantastic) and a reinclusion of 64 tournament mode for offline.

Have they said anything else about when this will be coming out? Which update is going to include it? Tournament mode was my favorite thing about prior smash games and online tournament mode sounds absolutely wonderful.

Nintendo is adding two new tournament modes to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
The modes are part of a free update coming in August, Smash director Masahiro Sakurai today announced during a special E3 digital presentation. In addition to Tourney mode, Nintendo also announced new playable characters Ryu and Roy, new Amiibos, new Mii Fighter costumes, new stages, and a new YouTube video uploading feature.
Community Tourneys has players competing for the highest amount of points in a certain amount of time. Regular Tourneys will have a specific rule set and will only happen at select times, like real tournaments.
Sakurai said his team has already finished developing the new modes, but he also said that it wants to make sure it tests out the online features thoroughly.
