Nope. They've been planning these moves for a while. Looking back at their previous meetings, it's all starting to make sense now. Amiibo was the start, followed by spreading their IP into other things, and now we are hearing about the Universal deal and the whole movies thing.

Yamauchi loved Disney, and Iwata is setting the playing filed to expand Nintendo into the giant that it should be nowadays. It's ridiculous for a compnay that has made such impacts to remain so dormant due to their stubborness. They can't continue to hold back anymore from all the things they could achieve.

I literally called most of that in January of 2014. The only thing I didn't call where the mobile games.

Called the mobile app.

Called the theme park.

Called TV and Movies.

Called the acquisitions.

Didn't really call the membership because I assumed it would be part of the mobile app. Still taking credit.

Now all they need to do is confirm the purchase of a relevant western publisher and I'll be king of VGChartz. Probably won't happen, though.

Bold predictions indeed, and pretty crazy and kind of exciting to see it all become a reality. I mostly hear people contantly say they should buy Capcom, but I wonder if people uderstand that once you buy into something, you also inherit their debt.

Overall, I do believe Nintendo could wonders for Capcom. To me, it seems like every time they work together something good always comes out of it.. whether it's Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, or Mega Man.. even with Platinum Games. There's so much Capcom history there, and to see how they worked together for Wondeful 101, Bayonetta, and now Star Fox shows that their is some magic to be made with all of that staff.

Nintendo should at least try to secure IP's like Mega Man and Resident Evil to bring them back to their glory. I could see Mega Man being a Nintendo thing again.. but Resident Evil is such a mess now that it would be best for Nintendo to invest on an alternate series of the franchise. Don't let things like Revelations get sequels that turn into terrible things. Revelations had so much potetial.. they should have done everything they could to secure that game and overlook its development.
