Or, y'know, the massive amount of people that upgraded or jumped in late. The 3DS has had a resurgence everywhere since the N3DS launched instead of continuing to drop in numbers YoY. But yeah, sure, let's go with irrelevant.

The people that jumped in late could've just as easily bought an original 3DS since it's the same thing (as of now), but cheaper. I don't know the numbers, but how much of a boost did the N3DS make for 3DS' sales? Let's not forget that that 3DS boost could've been accomplished by the hype of the game that came alongside its announcement in NA, Majora's Mask, and not necessarily by the fact that there was a newer expesive-r machine in town.

MM3D DID do well but you can't use "it's new" as an excuse to why it doesn't count.

And it's very close to 2013 (the peak year) from what I recall. It may have dropped off a bit but the N3DS has sold like hotcakes everywhere since then so it should be near 2013 still.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
