I just saw the metascore for OOT and I can tell you it's not accurate. 22 reviewers is simply not enough to achieve statistical power. You need at least 40. Compare this to every other blockbuster AAA game released in the last 5 years and you'll see why these games don't score as high as OOT.
We need a cutoff point in history. I say we start with the PS3/360/Wii era for more accurate samples.
