Wii U is dead at this point.
While it's not likely, Mario Maker could possibly prove to be beneficial to NX, assuming Mario Maker is successful on Wii U, and they were to make a sequel on NX.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
