When the heck did Metriod fans become such babies? Were you crying when they made Metriod pinball? What about Prime Hunters? There is no reason to hate a game barely anyone has actually played and the thought process that the Metriod brand can' exist without the player being Samus or the exploration game play or in a different graphic style is foolish.
With that sort of logic, bigger franchises like Mario and the Legend of Zelda series would be poorer for with games like Yoshi's Island, Wind Waker or freaking Mario Kart would not exist. It is a game, buy or don't but act like you have some dignity and stop embarrassing the fan base as a whole.
