You should note that neither he nor anyone else has stated that it is only for the Wii U, "it is for U" or "it's is still a U title" doesn't really disprove anything and I think Reggie is simply beating around the bush here and stalling for time. This doesn't really change a thing for me, it's still exceedingly likely that Zelda is a cross-gen title, one can also note that he's stopped calling it "Zelda U" and instead calls it "new Zelda for Wii U" or "Zelda Wii U", which could be an indication that the simple "U" at the end (like ZombiU) has lost its role.
