"We could have scored a lot of points and showed some little tidbit of Zelda Wii U, but in our collective opinion the belief was, in the end, that would cause more frustration than benefit."

This phrase made me afraid about ZeldaU quality a bit... )

I reckon this is more to do with showing off something that's been delayed and isn't going to be released for more than a year, or only showing off a tiny amount more, rather than the quality or direction causing frustration (if anything, the fact that they think showing a little more of it would "score a lot of points" shows they still think it'd be recieved well). Also might make people more frustrated next E3 if they fully reveal it and people say "We have seen it before, nothing new."

Yup Nintendo, aha.
