Yes it's Nintendo's fault, they made many mistakes with the Wii U, but what's done is done.

Most of the whining/complaining is coming from people who are online industry savvy and know the business more than the general consumer.

You can't realistically expect Nintendo to support the Wii U as well as the Wii or even the GameCube (which really, hate to shatter your memories, Nintendo actually abandoned with their core teams after 2004).

They supported the Wii U for this long and didn't abandon it sooner so people weren't pissed off that their purchase wasn't worth it and wouldn't buy another Nintendo console.  So far I'm not anywhere near getting my moneys worth from my Wii U purchase.

I don't give a rats ass about the sales, going by that logic no one should buy another Nintendo console until it starts selling well or else it might get subpar support, oh wait but then no ones buying it and it sells like shit.

This is a bit of a hyperbolic statement.

The Wii U actually has more 1st/2nd party titles in its first 3 years than the GameCube had.

Realistically there's a limit to how much Nintendo can support a platform that is selling this poorly.
