This Shooting Game Trend Needs to Die Quickly (and I think it's happening)

Nope. Instead shooters will evolve and include rpg elements. Open world elements. Storytelling elements. There are just too many genres that shooters can take from. It will never die. I'm afraid we'll be stuck with shooters until the entire gaming scene crashes.
