To the xbone, the emulator is an xbone app. Like their games, like their apps. Fun fact: no xbone app runs from disc, not a single app or game. Now we could argue why but that's the way it is. Even ps4 is doing the same.

Another benefit of downloading the whole game is that MS can deliver you the game with the latest patch already applied, making the emulation a lot more controllable for them.

I did. You should still have the option to download the content off the disc.

Also DLC is not working, file sizes are different, USB devices aren't working properly. 

If the source code wasn't alterred, they wouldn't need permission. A lot of games will never see the light of day because of this. Developers that no longer have music rights, can't have an alterred version that will work on this.

Ok, there is no use to discuss it further, let's leave this now. Nothing in this world will convince you you are wrong and that's ok. You still think these will be ports although it was said otherwise, officially and from people with technical knowledge.

But either way, who cares in the end if the solution is as good as first experiences from the preview apply to the way bigger list arriving later this year.
