You can't just say “oh, download? Well, then it's porting and no bc“, this doesn't compute. It's ok to have questions but basing an argument on an unanswered question because you can't see anything else as a reason is not really convincing. Tachi also has a theory why you have to download and it also doesn't have anything to do with porting or it not being emulation.

Sorry but if the data is the same, it shouldn't matter if it's from a disc or downloaded. True emulation would reconize both.

To the xbone, the emulator is an xbone app. Like their games, like their apps. Fun fact: no xbone app runs from disc, not a single app or game. Now we could argue why but that's the way it is. Even ps4 is doing the same.

Another benefit of downloading the whole game is that MS can deliver you the game with the latest patch already applied, making the emulation a lot more controllable for them.
