I don't even know why you felt the need to make a thread. If there were dozens of hype threads for BC I would understand but in this case? In my opinion you are exaggerating way too much and this is also enriched with your competitive way of thinking, which screams console wars, competitional thinking, chalkboards... But yeah, let's destroy the hope for every MS fan out there. May they learn for now and ever, they messed with the wrong company. Xbox One is doomed, Sony will win. We should make a daily thread about it and use it in every thread imaginable. *smh* "reality check" |
So, willfully not getting it, then?
Were you not around a whole 2 days ago? As soon as it was announced, people were saying "MS won E3", "this is the biggest announcement that can happen", "nothing can top this", etc.
Apparently, BC is quite a big deal around here. But in reality, it's not. Hence the "reality check". Otherwise, as he mentioned, original PS3s ability to play 90% of the PS2s library should have been a "big deal" at the time, but no one cared. WiiU BC should have been a big deal, but no one cared. So, logically speaking, being able to play only 10% of the 360s library should definitely not be a big deal. But people are making it out to be.
Like the OP said, it's great that extra features are being added. Nobody is downplaying that. But this isn't "huge". There's no "competitional thinking" here. It's just bringing things back down to earth. You know what would be huge? GTAVI exclusivity on some platform. A Half-Life 3 announcement. Spyro coming back, developed by Insomniac, and being Xbox exclusive. But playing old games? How is somebody "insecure" by saying that this isn't some groundbreaking thing that "won E3", especially in the wake of FFVII remake and Shenmue 3, amongst other things.
