That is definitely not the case. Look at the 3DS games they announced. They do not require that many resources to make. Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam reuses many assets from both Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Triforce Heroes reuses many assets from A Link Between Worlds. Some of the other games aren't even being made by Nintendo. Fire Emblem If/Fates should be already done with development in Japan, and only needs localization. The Metroid Prime spinoff doesn't look like a particularly big game for develpoment. In what way does this show 3DS games are being made in place of Wii U games? |
Does star fox zero look like a game that requires many resources.. were the graphics mind blowing?.. how about yarn yoshi? or Mario maker? Same could be said for those games... they use old engines, or are not the sort of games that would require majority of nintendos resources..XCX is the only game that looks like it requires alot of resources to make..
