Nintendo XDS!? Likely fake?

Yet another hardware revision? Why spend money on developing these now this late in the cycle and with the numbers being what they are instead of just squeezing as much profit as possible from the 3DS as is?
It's not like sales will improve besides a short bump anyways, this would be meaningless imo.
