Well, the service is potentially worse as it adds delay to games and is totally dependant on your internet access. Slow internet? Bad gaming. Peering issues from your provider? Bad gaming. No internet? No PSNow. The list can be easily made bigger. You don't have to have used the service to see the downsides.
