Looks like you were spot on on the meta, funny thing is if the game was fully complete and single player was full fledge (hello Splat2oon) it would be a 90+ game imo.

That's what I thought after the embargo.  They got the mechanics of the game right, just need to fix the day one content problem and it has a chance for high 80 to 90+.

Splatoon is reminding me of SSB.

I think Splat2oon will be the equivalent of SSB Melee. It already or will have the brand recognition for next gen.
