I don't personally see how what appears to be Nintendo cutting content from the core game so that they can drip feed it to their consumers later (thus creating the illusion of them supporting the game more than they really are) is them "prioritizing the players". It's one thing to extend a game's life by creating new content, but this just strikes me as silly. Ah well, as you say, each to their own ^^; |
This is an online multiplayer focused game, hence it lives or dies based on it's community, so naturally anything that helps keep said community active is good so that we don't have to wait 5 years for 8 players to show up in any given room. Also I'm sure not all of the update content is finished, so this allows us to play the game sooner if we choose.
