Well on a site like this, that kind of statement is rare and foreign and I wish anyone the best of luck convincing these users whose ideology is " sales is the only viable factor!" otherwise and not being bombarded and assaulted by outnumbered factions of the opposition.

 

Well, being an old member here, I see what you mean. For my part, it's about the simple fact that the best selling console is not always the most interesting and this appears to be the case two generations in a row in my subjective opinion.
I enjoy discussing and reading about sales but they don't really matter a whole lot me, software sales are perhaps more important in my eyes since it often dictates the direction a developer or even a whole genre is taking.

People can still enjoy their consoles despite low sales, I know I loved my N64 even though it was massacred by the PS.
