Has the Wii U irreparably damaged Nintendo's image?

The Wii maybe have damaged the Nintendo image, but definitive not irreparably...
If so, why 3DS is selling so good?

We all know the reason of the WU flop... The only thing that Nintendo can do is called the next console "No-Wii" and all of those dark times are over...
