Their NeXt home console won't abandon the Wiimotes and the Gamepad, in my opinion. Everyone has wiimotes, a lot of people, specially families with kids, will be mad those don't work anymore on more recent consoles (at least Dualshock and the 360 controller can be used on PCs, the Wiimotes can't without a complicated bluetooth system) and they are cheap to make and profitable to sell. The Gamepad will be more difficult, it will probably be used for BC instead of new games.
I would like the next Nintendo controller to be PC compatible, I'll buy a GameCube Controller that workson PC.
