Mostly you cant prevent to get hit. Like getting a coin as item + redshell, sb fire 3 red shells on you, bullet bill/star hits you, boomerang, piranha plant. You may have like ~30% influence but thats it. its mainly luck based. Even green shells getting from wall to wall...you cant do anythign against this. |
It's not really luck based if it depends on the skill of other players. The luck is only in the type of item the opponent who hit you gets.
I'm not a native English speaker either, and I was just making a portmanteau joke. What is your native language? Maybe I indeed speak it. :)
